Ventilated facades

Longevity and weather resistance

Ventilated (suspended) façades are façade system technologies that consist of a decorative material which is attached to wood, galvanised metal or aluminium frame at the load bearing wall or monolith cover. Air freely circulates via the gap between the decorative material and the wall thus removing condensate and moisture from the structure. All façade fastening elements are universal thus allowing to create complex architectural forms ranging from classic to ultra modern. Heat insulation material may be attached for additional heat insulation of the wall. The gap between the heat insulation and the façade of the building must range from 20 to 50 mm. It allows the ascending air to circulate freely between the decoration material and the wall by drying the heat insulation material in case it is subject to moisture. Ventilated (suspended) façade wall shall retain the heat in the building, prevents moisture, reduces the amount of construction supplies necessary for construction of building walls thus allowing to save funds across the entire structure, thus allowing to increase the number of floors.

If the building is repaired or renovated, the addition of the suspended façade, for example, in case of multi-story structure - the ventilated façade shall create an additional load on the bearing structures and foundation of the building. Thus upon deciding on the use of suspended façade, we recommend performing a technical condition assessment for the construction of the building, if strengthening is necessary. System's advantages lie in the opportunity to use various decoration materials and various ranges of colour. Suspended (ventilated) façade systems have high heat and acoustic insulation indicators. It will reduce heating expenses. Ventilated façades have a long service life, the façades are resistant against weather influence and they can be quickly assembled during any season. Ventilated façades produced by Vinylit Fassaden GmbH use siding materials consisting of special carbon fibre containing plastic with surface embedded ground natural granite stone shards and pieces. This suspended façade material is sufficiently thick, mechanically durable and very resistant against the effects of moisture, cold as well as it does not deform in response to temperature fluctuations. Ventilated façades are great to use and simple to assemble. Ventilated façades may be used both in industrial as well as in individual construction. The task of the ventilated façade system is to ensure a great under-siding ventilation and protection against fouling. Natural granite tone nuances provide ventilated façades in more than 40 different colours.
